Cancer Fund
This was the first of a two-part assignment. We had to create a logo for an organization focussed on a modern topic. We were given a list of topics, which was pretty open, and we were able to make up anything that went along with the topic. I chose the "medical" topic and created a an organization called the "Cancer Fund" which helps to raise money to fight cancer.
I started off with many variations and started narrowing them down to this one. I wanted the design to be clean, simple, and corporate; which also corresponds to medicine and biology being very scientific and "clean". The main element was the hourglass figure which was meant to make people feel pressured to donate money. The red squares and white center were to correlate to the medical/scientific/DNA aspect. The red is symbolic of blood. |
